Pokki, keep all your social media accounts synchronized in Windows!

For the time being, all of the current operative systems should have native support for social media. If just checking one account from time to time to see if someone texted you can become annoying, imagine having as many accounts as I do (Flickr, Facebook, Twitter, Gmail etc).

I spend more than half of my time using Linux, and all I have to do to see if someone texted me is just sit, and watch, the OS (via Gwibber) will notificate me about anything new in any of my accounts. On top of making my life a little bit easier, I waste less time. Back in the day when I used to swing by Facebook just to see if I had any new notifications, I always ended up checking someone's profile or new pictures, wasting a lot of time. Now, whenever I have something new I get notified, so I just have to go to Facebook whenever it is important.

Because lately I have been spending more time in Windows than I am used to, I have been wondering if there was a way to fix this. Turns out, there was! It's a little program called Pokki (http://www.pokki.com/). When you install it, you get to add new apps (specially for things like Gmail, Facebook or Twitter). The apps notify you whenever you have something new, so you don't have to be checking all your accounts any more. The apps are coded in HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript, so everything runs and looks wonderful. I strongly recommend that you guys give it a try, it's really good!
